Chevrolet has given the gas and diesel versions of the 2500 HD notable updates for the 2024 model year. The 6.6-liter gas-powered V8 now comes with the Allison 10-speed automatic that's already been proven on the diesel model. The result for Smyth Crossing buyers is 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 now has more power and torque with 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Maximum towing capacity in the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD is 22,500 pounds and the maximum payload is 3,975 pounds. All in all, it's one very capable heavy-duty truck.

The new Chevy Silverado 3500 HD Truck

The muscular 6.6-liter Duramax® turbodiesel V8 in the Silverado 3500 HD has raised its game for the 2024 model year. The diesel powertrain now gives you 470 horsepower and substantially more torque, coming in at 975 pound-feet. When it's equipped with the Duramax® diesel, the Chevy Silverado 3500 HD can hit 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds.
